Privacy Policy

Introduction

Zuliem ("we," "us," or "our") sells fragrances in Pakistan through this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse the site, place an order or leave a review, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.

Information You Give Us

When you place an order (through Buy Now or the cart), we collect:

• Your full name.
• Your WhatsApp number — we use it to confirm every order with you.
• A phone number, if you choose to add one.
• Your delivery address, city, province and, if you add it, postal code.
• The order itself — the fragrances, quantities, prices, any coupon code, delivery charge and total.

No payment details are collected on this website. Payment is arranged with you when we confirm the order on WhatsApp.

When you write a product review, we collect your name, your rating and review, an optional headline, any photos you choose to add and, only if you add it, your email address. Photos are resized in your browser before upload, which also removes the hidden camera data (such as location) a photo can carry. Your name, review and photos are published once our team approves them; your email address is never shown.

If you sign in, your account is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. We receive your name, email address and, if you have added one, your phone number, and use them to link your orders and cart to your account. We never see or store your password.

The contact form, the "Private Invitations" sign-up in the footer and the WhatsApp button open a ready-made message in your own WhatsApp (or, if WhatsApp isn't available, your email app). Nothing you type there is stored by this website; we only receive what you choose to send.

Information Collected Automatically

• Your cart and wishlist. The fragrances in your cart and wishlist are saved in your browser and also on our servers, linked to a random identifier (or to your account if you are signed in), so they survive a page reload and so we can understand which fragrances are being considered.
• Scent quiz answers stay in your browser to show your recommendation. They are not sent to us.
• Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
• Analytics — only if you allow it. With your consent we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits and a few shopping steps (viewing a product, adding to cart, starting and completing checkout). It does not use cookies, and we never send it your name, phone or WhatsApp number, address or order details.

Cookies & Browser Storage

We keep cookies and browser storage to the minimum the shop needs:

• zuliem_cid (essential) — a random identifier that links your cart, wishlist and orders when you are not signed in. Kept for one year.
• Sign-in cookies (essential) — set by Clerk to keep you signed in and protect your session.
• Browser storage (essential) — remembers your cart, your wishlist and your cookie choice on this device.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics stays off until you accept it, and you can change your choice at any time: change your cookie preferences.

How We Use Your Information

• To confirm your order with you on WhatsApp, and to pack and deliver it.
• To answer your questions about an order, a return or a fragrance.
• To moderate and publish product reviews.
• To keep your cart and wishlist between visits.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the shop is used — only with your consent.
• To detect and prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and to keep the site secure.

We do not send marketing messages, and we never sell your personal information.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with the services that run the shop, and only as needed:

• Vercel — hosts the website and, if you allow it, provides analytics.
• Supabase — stores orders, carts, wishlists and reviews in its database.
• Clerk — handles sign-in for customers who create an account.
• WhatsApp — carries the messages we exchange to confirm your order, and any message you send us there.
• Our delivery courier — receives your name, phone number and address to deliver.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Data Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Order and customer records are kept in a database that the public cannot read, and only authorised Zuliem staff can view them, through a signed-in admin area with role-based permissions. No method of storing data is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order records for as long as we need them to deliver your order, handle questions and returns, and keep proper business records. When an order record is deleted from our admin, it is held in a recycle bin for 30 days and then permanently erased. Reviews stay published until they are removed. Photos on a review we decline are deleted straight away. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.

Your Rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Message us on WhatsApp or use our Contact page; we may need to confirm it is really you before we act. We will not delete an order we are still fulfilling or are required to keep.

Children

This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
